Using the Studio: Recording & Editing

1. How do I start creating a new demo?

Creation starts with our Demokraft AI Chrome Extension. You can find the link to install it on the home page of our app after you sign up. Use the extension to make a screen recording of your product, app, or workflow. Once you finish recording, you’ll be taken directly to the Studio editor.

We dont support recording video on mobile for mobile app. One way you could do is by using generally available Mobile (both Android and iOS) screen sharing on your laptop (using apps like Quick time player for iOS and scrcpy for Android) and then recording your screen on laptop using either our extension or other tool. If recorded from other tool on laptop then upload the video to Studio for further processing.

Yes you can upload existing video with voice over from home page. Select the Input video language as appropriate. It is necessary to select proper language else it will have impact on video processing later.

Yes you can upload a pdf version of your product presentation from the home page. Each page in the PDF should be one slide. Upto 15 slides max per pdf file are supported. Once you upload Studio editor will create a new project and open it in editor. Once the project opens you can see the script generated for the video in script panel. Video in the player will be without any voice to start with. Only after you review script, AI enhance it if needed and apply voice (select appropriate voice) then the audio will get applied to the video. This is done to give user complete control of the script of the video.

Yes we support upto 14 languages in which you can record videos. More languages are coming soon. Select appropriate recording language in the extension while starting the recording. If you choose incorrect language it will impact video processing. Currently supported languages are: Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish.

In case of person/yourself speaking in the video, you cant do script enhance or AI voice generate as it will lead to mismatch in lip sync. In future we plan to support lip sync or digital avatar speaking in the video.

In the Studio editor, click the “Script” tab in the left-hand panel. You’ll see the full transcription. You can edit the text directly in the text box. Important: Your edits will only be applied to the video after you “Generate Voice.”

This is one of our magic features! If your raw script feels a bit rough, click the “AI Rewrite” button (found in the “Script” panel). Our AI will polish your entire script for clarity, flow, and a more professional tone.

No we dont yet support auto generation of script for a video. Script is generated either based on transcript in the input video or based on AI enhancement of the original transcript.

In the “Script” panel, once your script is ready, select a voice from the drop-down list. Then, just click “Generate Voice.” Please allow a few moments for the AI to create the audio. You can play it back right in the editor.

Yes you can keep your original voiceover. You cant do script enhance or AI voice generate with this though. Rest of the operations will work fine. If you do script enhance you will have to generate voice over by selecting one of the available voices. In future we have plans to allow users to clone their custom voice added to the list of voices.

Select the “Background” section from the left panel. First, enable the toggle switch at the top. You can then choose an image from our list, adjust the screen ratio (how much space the video takes), and add rounded corners and a shadow effect. Click “Apply” to see your changes.

Yes! Go to the “Music” section in the left panel. Enable the toggle switch at the top, select a track, and adjust the volume level so it doesn’t overpower your voiceover. Click “Apply” to add it to your video.

Some of the operations like Initial Video Project creation, AI script enhance, Voice generate, Export and Translate take time to do the processing proportional to the duration of the video. Since it involves extensive processing with AI processing it can vary. So be paitient.

Using Translation: Multilingual support

1. How can I translate video from one language to other?

Once you are in editor with your source video complete all the edits and polishing you want to do with the source video. Once done click on the “Translate” button in the video editor on top right side. A pop up to select the target translation language will appear. You can choose the target language and let the editor complete the processing. Editor will create another video project for the Target translated version of the video by making a copy of the source project and borrow needed characteristics. The source video project will remain as is.

Once the Translated video project opens in a new editor tab, you will find the translated video script in script panel. Video will still have voice over from the original source video project. You need to review the translated script, AI enhance it if you want, select an appropriate voice applicable to the new language and apply it. Only after you apply voice video will get new translated voice over. This is done to give user complete control over the translation.

Currently we support upto 18 languages and more coming in future. Supported languages that you can translate to are: English, Hindi, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Indonesian, Malay, Dutch, Filipino, Turkish, Tamil.

Yes you can translate any video project once it has got its script finalized. follow the same process as above to translate the video based on presentation as is it is for video based on extension recording or upload video.

Using the Studio: Exporting & Publishing

1. How do I export my final video as an MP4?

When your video is perfect, click the “Export” button in the top-right corner. On the export pop up you will see a “MP4” tab, choose your desired frame rate and resolution, then click “Export.” After processing, a download link will appear in the pop-up.

You bet. In the same “Export” menu pop up, select the “GIF” tab. Choose a size (Large, Medium, or Small) and click “Export.” This is perfect for sharing quick snippets in emails or chats.

This is a powerful feature for creating knowledge base articles in seconds.

  1. Generate: In the Studio editor, click the “Document” tab (next to “Video” at the top). The Studio will automatically generate a how-to guide, complete with text from your script and screenshots from your video. You can edit the text and swap images here. You can select different image from the video with the image selector pop up in the editor edit options or you can upload another image from your laptop.

  2. Export: Once you’re happy with the document, click the “Export” button (top-right). You can download the guide as a Markdown (.md) or HTML (.html) file, ready to be uploaded to platforms like Confluence, Notion, or WordPress.
